Shopify and eBay integration tools and a safer migration plan
Choose a tool by the work it needs to do: create listings, connect existing listings, copy a catalog, synchronize stock, or import orders. Those are separate operations. A tool that publishes Shopify products on eBay does not automatically bring an eBay catalog into Shopify.
Disclosure: This directory is operated by the team behind CrossMart, a multichannel project for sellers and AI agents. CrossMart is not presented here as a production-ready replacement. This comparison uses official documentation, not hands-on performance tests or paid rankings.
Already have listings on both platforms? Read our focused guide to linking existing eBay listings to Shopify before republishing.
Start with the job you need done
- Your catalog already lives in Shopify: evaluate a connector that creates eBay listings and manages stock and incoming orders.
- You already sell the same products on both: prioritize matching existing listings. Publishing the catalog again can create duplicates.
- Your catalog exists only on eBay: plan a product migration first, then set up ongoing synchronization.
- You are replacing an integration: preserve product and listing IDs, define which system owns each field, and switch synchronization deliberately.
- You need old orders: verify historical-order import separately. New-order synchronization is not proof of that capability.
Compare the tools by operation
“Documented” below means the provider describes the operation. It is not a guarantee that your category, region, variants, or account configuration will work without adjustments. “Not established” means the reviewed sources did not settle that question, not that the feature is impossible.
Shopify Marketplace Connect
Consider it when: Shopify is your working catalog and you want to manage eBay alongside it.
- Create and edit eBay listings: documented, individually or in bulk, using Shopify products. Listing and editing documentation.
- Link existing listings: documented. Suggested matches use SKU, UPC, or title; review variant-level identity yourself. Linking starts order and inventory synchronization. You can retain eBay settings for shipping, returns, title, description, and price/taxes. Choosing Marketplace Connect settings overwrites the original settings, which Shopify says cannot be restored through that choice. Save a separate record first. Existing-listing rules.
- Stock and images: eBay defaults include inventory buffers and maximum displayed quantities. Defaults apply to future listings, not existing ones. Image synchronization can be disabled in the bulk editor. eBay settings.
- Incoming orders: settings distinguish all orders, linked-product orders, and no automatic imports. Import timing can depend on payment status. Tax display also depends on configuration; reconcile reporting before using the results for accounting. Historical-order migration is not established by this operational import guide. Order import settings.
- Create Shopify products from an eBay catalog: the linking workflow assumes corresponding Shopify products. Do not treat it as evidence of a complete reverse catalog importer.
Pricing checked: the App Store lists the first 50 marketplace-synced orders per month free, then a 1% fee per additional synced order, capped at US$99 per month. This is the connector charge, not the total cost of selling. Current Marketplace Connect listing.
CedCommerce eBay Integration
Consider it when: you want eBay-focused listing controls or multiple eBay accounts connected to a Shopify catalog.
- Shopify to eBay: documented. Its workflow brings Shopify products into the app, then creates eBay listings. Templates and profiles group listing settings. Product-management overview.
- Existing-listing matching: an official setup guide describes matching titles or SKUs between the platforms. Verify the mapping workflow in your installed version before publishing. Mapping documentation.
- Inventory, prices and orders: advertised as near-real-time synchronization. That is a vendor description, not a measured latency guarantee. The App Store lists separate allowances for listing, managed products, and orders. App listing and plan limits.
- Fulfillment: shipment synchronization is configurable; carrier-code mismatches may require mapping. A connected account alone does not establish that tracking is being sent correctly. Shipment configuration.
- Reverse catalog migration: not established for this integration by the reviewed sources. CedCommerce documents a separate Multichannel Importer product with eBay-to-Shopify import. Do not transfer that capability to the eBay Integration app without checking. Separate importer documentation.
Pricing checked: the App Store lists Bronze at US$19/month with 100 product listings and 10 synced orders per month, plus management/sync for 2,000 products. Silver is US$49/month and Gold US$89/month, with different limits. The free tier has separate one-time listing and managed-product limits. Check the current plan for your actual order volume, account count, and any overage conditions.
LitCommerce Marketplace Integration
Consider it when: you need a Main Store workflow across several channels and want a documented connector-switching process.
LitCommerce documents importing existing channel listings into its app, linking them to Main Store products, publishing new listings, inventory and price updates from the Main Store, and channel-order import. Its switching guide describes a 15-minute sync frequency, with a separate Etsy exception. Treat that as a stated schedule, not a guarantee of delivery within exactly 15 minutes.
Important limits: the guide says previous order history is not imported; order retrieval starts after Order Sync is enabled. Available product data depends on platform APIs. Importing listings into LitCommerce is not, by itself, evidence that new Shopify product records have been created. Verify that reverse-creation step if your Shopify catalog is empty. Disable the previous app’s writes before enabling the new app’s sync. Official switching guide.

Shopify Store Migration and CSV import
Consider it when: you need to establish a Shopify catalog from existing eBay listings.
Shopify’s free Store Migration app accepts an eBay CSV without prior reformatting. Imported products are drafts, with quantities assigned to the default location. Shopify documents an importer-specific limitation: listings with four or more variation options, or 101 or more variations, become single products without variants. Do not confuse that importer limit with Shopify’s general platform limits.
The eBay listings report omits descriptions, images, item specifics, and shipping details. A CSV import is therefore not a complete copy of your listing content. It also does not provide ongoing stock synchronization. Historical orders require a separate migration route. Shopify’s eBay migration guide.
CrossMart
Status (official site checked November 7, 2026): the official site now lists Shopify and eBay as live, with Google Shopping and Etsy coming soon. Availability, supported operations, limits, and production reliability are not verified by this comparison. Test a small catalog and your exact operations before switching a live inventory workflow.
If you want to evaluate CrossMart, visit CrossMart’s account signup and verify whether your exact workflow is available. Review current trial, payment and cancellation terms before registering. Ask about your selling region, SKU count, variants, existing eBay listings, stock ownership, order volume, and required migration direction. Sellers who need a working connector immediately should evaluate the documented options above.
A migration plan that protects existing listings
The steps below are operational recommendations. Adapt them to the controls your chosen tool actually provides.
- Write down what must survive. Record Shopify product and variant IDs, eBay item IDs, SKUs, quantities by location, prices, descriptions, images, policies, and open orders. Preserve configuration screenshots as well as exports. Verify that exports contain the fields you need rather than assuming they are complete backups.
- Choose an owner for each field. Decide where stock, price, title, description, photos, and fulfillment should be edited. Keep exceptions explicit, such as an eBay-specific price or description.
- Fix identity before synchronization. Give sellable variants stable identifiers. Review duplicates, reused SKUs, bundles, and one-off items. A matching title is only a suggestion, especially when sizes or conditions differ.
- Prepare an eBay-first catalog separately. If Shopify has no corresponding products, create and inspect them before linking live eBay listings. Fill gaps in imported content and check location assignments.
- Link rather than republish. Use the existing-listing workflow where supported. Confirm the resulting connection points to the intended eBay item ID. eBay generally prohibits simultaneous duplicate fixed-price listings for identical items from one seller, with specific exceptions. eBay duplicate-listings policy.
- Test a small, representative group. Include a single-SKU product, a multi-variant product, a low-stock item, and any unusual category you depend on. Choose low-risk products and supervise legitimate transactions; do not manufacture marketplace orders or feedback.
- Switch one writer at a time. Identify which app currently updates each listing and imports orders. Prepare the replacement with its writes off where possible. Disable overlapping writes in the old app before enabling the new one. Record the cutover time and reconcile orders around it. Plan a supervised gap if the tools cannot stage a clean transition.
- Reconcile before expanding. Compare actual platform records, not just green connector indicators. Check that quantities, orders, shipping, and tracking match. Scale in batches only after the pilot passes.
- Keep a recovery plan. Save the old mappings and settings. If results are wrong, stop the new app’s writes, reconcile current stock and orders, and only then restore the previous workflow. Uninstalling an app is not a substitute for undoing its changes.
Your acceptance checklist
- The same physical item and variant are connected on both platforms.
- Existing eBay item IDs are retained where that is your intended workflow, with no duplicate listings.
- A stock change reaches the correct listing and location within a measured, acceptable interval.
- A sale reduces available inventory correctly, including the last unit.
- Restocks, cancellations, and returns behave as configured rather than silently adding stock twice.
- Prices, currency, shipping, returns, images, and condition remain correct.
- Each eligible order arrives once, with the expected payment and tax representation.
- Fulfillment and carrier tracking reach the intended eBay order.
- Errors are visible, someone owns the response, and a stopped connection can be detected.
No connector should be treated as a guarantee against overselling. For one-of-a-kind stock, decide whether the remaining synchronization window is acceptable. Consider lower channel availability or temporarily limiting the item to one channel if a double sale would be costly.
Questions to ask before paying
Ask each provider for the direction and scope of every operation: product creation, linking, stock updates, price updates, order import, fulfillment, cancellations, refunds, and restocking. Request an answer for your region, listing type, variant structure, and Shopify inventory locations.
Also confirm what counts toward the plan: products, variants, listings, channels, accounts, or orders. Add Shopify charges, eBay selling fees, optional ads, and migration costs to the connector price. Marketplace fees vary by seller and transaction; check eBay’s current fee guidance.
The most useful comparison is the one that rules out a bad fit before you move your catalog. Start with your required operations, validate them on real platform records, and only then commit to a larger rollout.
